What is a Doula?
Doula is a greek word meaning women’s servant. A Doula is a trained professional who provides physical and emotional support, as well as education, before, during, and after birth. Birth and Postpartum Doulas offer support for new families during the life changing transition of having a baby. A Doula can help make the birth and postpartum period more enjoyable for not only the new mom, but her partner and family as well.
